Tiptree

Best known for its production of jam, this little town is surrounded by orchards. Fruit farming began here in 1864, and today the family firm of Wilkin and Sons is world-famous for its jams and preserves. Museum and tearoom. Tiptree Heath is an area of common land, with magnificent heather and two ponds.
